st XI – A couple of recent wins have helped the 1s in their fight in the Home Counties Premier League 1st Division. Captain, Muhammad Ayub and George Tait leads the batting stats with over 750 runs between them and Harvey Jupp is the leading bowler with 24 wickets. Adam Hall has accounted for 11 wickets with the gloves.
nd XI – The resurgent 2’s are back in contention after a shaky start to the season. Steve Hurt, Kasim Nawaz and Ali Shah have so far amassed well over 500 runs between them. Chris Mingard has taken 15 wickets with 2 “fifers”. We are also all looking forward to Dominic Whinfrey’s next innings!
rd XI – The 3’s have done well again with only 3 losses in 11 matches under Captain, Mark Sheehan who recorded 67* against Charlbury in June. Alf Symons leads with the ball including a brilliant 6/15 as part of his 2 “fifers”.
th XI – Captain, Ed Baldock continues to lead by example with both runs and wickets including matching Alf Symons 6/15 in the teams win against Bicester and North Oxford and thanks to a hatful of “not outs”, an average of 90 with the bat! Meg Jones has done superbly in her first season at OCC for both Men’s and Women’s teams and James Oates leads the 4’s batting tally with 180 runs whilst Max Baldock is close by with well over 100 runs as well as 7 dismissals behind the stumps.
Congratulations also to the T20 team who have made the finals of the Wilfred Bennett Cup. They take on Henley CC on the 18th September.
