Oxford Cricket Club – Girls U13’s

The girls have started the season tremendously, building on their formation as a team from last summer. They have made the last 32 of the National Lady Taverners’ T20 competition, having beaten two sides from Gloucestershire which included several county players each. The next round is played on Sunday 13th June against a team from Solihull.

The girls also play in the predominantly male U13 County pairs competition. After one game they have a 100% winning record – with hopefully more to come.

The signature of this squad of girls though is how supportive they all are of each other. It doesn’t matter who is playing they are constantly cheering each other on and celebrating every individual success as the team they are. This very much starts from, and is encouraged, at Friday night training led by Katie with assistance from Chris, Numa and Rosalyn.

Whilst are large squad is attracting players all the time, we are always keen for more! In fact any girls that are keen to play should come down to training on a Friday night and get a taste of how it’s all done. Or email info@oxfordcricketclub.com for more details.
